Course Content

Legislation in relation to Health & Safety, Working at Heights & MEWPS (Machinery)
Harness & Lanyard Safety – Selection, Inspection and fitting/donning of harness and lanyard.
Working at Height Training from MEWPS including Suspension Trauma and Emergency / Rescue Plans
MEWP Types & Component Parts
Safe Operation of MEWPS including Pre-Use Inspections and Functionality Checks.
Identifying Hazards, Risks and Control Measures associated with MEWPS.
Spotter Training – Safety Awareness and Responsibilities
Refuelling & Maintenance
Operator Theory and Practical Assessments

Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS) Operator Course

Candidates who successfully complete this 1 day course will learn the skills and knowledge to competently select, inspect and operate MEWPS and gain an understanding of the hazards involved in MEWP Operation and how to avoid or reduce the risks associated with said hazards.

Participants will receive classroom based theory training and practical training on harnesses / lanyards and at least 2 different types of MEWPS.

All candidates must have a good understanding of oral and written English and have previous experience in MEWPS operations. Contact us before training if these requirements aren’t met or if you are unsure of same.
